05/12/2013
On the 19th and 27th November Keren joined the LJCC team to run newspaper workshops with Hartsmere Jewish Primary School and Menorah Foundation respectively. Year 5 and 6 pupils were given the task of creating a newspaper based on the interviews with special guest speakers who had come for the day.
Keren ran a cartooning master classes, sharing tips and pointers about cartooning, and guided the children as they listened to the guests being interviewed by other pupils, encouraging them to sketch and note down ideas for cartoons. With her guidance they then worked hard to produce cartoons and caricatures relevant to the day's events by the deadline.
Pupils were rewarded with a fantastic four page newspaper containing the articles they had written, photos they had taken, and of course, the super cartoons Keren's group had drawn with such enthusiasm.
